Peace please…
"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you. For I Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior."
- Isaiah 43: 1-3
Over the past few months I have felt quite overwhelmed with a sense of peace at times. Is that possible?!? I have no idea... but I have had a rush of overwhelming feelings, then later my soul is settled. As I have seen my friends, colleagues, and mentors sharing the Word of God across social media during this time of social distancing, it takes me back to the years from 4th grade to when I was a junior in college.
Every summer, I went to camp. I loved and still love our camp. I met Jesus at this camp. I learned what true friends mean at this camp. I understood what it meant to let God guide my life. I was challenged to provide understanding of brokenness and healing. It's where I was prepared to have a foundation to handle the grown-up world I would be heading into. At camp, we sang this song that is based upon Isaiah 43. This song has been stuck in my head for the past few days... It's all I hear!
